I’m a machine learning researcher / software engineer / whatever is necessary, with experience primarily working with large volumetric data
I live in Wisconsin and grew up in a town near Green Bay. I have an associate’s degree from a local two-year tech school. Previously, i’ve worked in construction, manufacturing, various service jobs, and as a sysadmin.
I enjoy working on (very) difficult problems.
I’m currently virtually unwrapping the Herculaneum Scrolls
- 2026 : For the first time, Virtually Unwrapped and read an entire Herculaneum Scroll
- 2025 : Recovered the first end title ever found in a still-rolled Herculanaeum Scroll
- 2024 : Awarded an end-of-year prize for contributions to Virtual Unwrapping
- 2023 : Runner-up in the 2023 Ink Detection Grand Prize
